January 2017 -- Modeling & Making a Difference
Did you know that you can make a difference in the world while working as a model in the fashion industry? Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Well, it’s not!
John Casablancas Modeling and Career Center models recently participated in a charity fashion show benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Our models were able to use the techniques and skills they learned in our modeling courses to help this life-saving cause. And they gained more experience and confidence on the runway!
It was a fun day for everyone involved, with lots of smiles from our models and those who benefit from St. Jude’s work. The models donated their time and the JC staff baked cookies, all to make the event a huge success. All proceeds from the fashion show went to St. Jude’s. At St. Jude’s, the most advanced cancer treatments are used to treat the toughest cases of pediatric cancer. And patient families never pay a cent to St. Jude’s.
JC works to educate models not only about working in fashion and television, but also about making a difference with their talents. Together, we can help places like St. Jude’s defeat pediatric cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
